HOW TO USE THE LIBRARYSOFT


REGULAR OR SIMPLE SEARCH

1. Double click on the internet explorer.
2. Type in the following address in the location: http://pucserver:8080
3. Use the pulldown to select the value to search. Four options will
Appear: Contains
Equal to
Begins with
Ends with

4. Choose anyone of these values to search your data.
Enter your search term e.g ECONOMICS at the blank search menu on the right.
5. Select any of the individual fields you would like to search e.g.
Title, Author, Subject, Note, Subnote, Call Number, Barcode,
ISBN, Location, textstore, alt call number and Series.
6. Use the order by pulldown to order the results browse screen by
any Field.
7. Click on search at left button
8. A browse screen of hits appears.
9. You can double-click on the item you wish to look at and the data
Will be displayed.

ADVACED SEARCH
1.
Click on advance search below the search menu.
2. Select the value to search e.g. Title, Author, Subject, Note etc.
3. Use pull down to select the methods of searching. Six options available e.g. Contains, Equal to, Greater than, Less than, Not contains, Not equal to.
4. Enter your search term on the right blank menu.
5. Select AND to combine or narrow the search terms
6. Select OR to separate or expand the search terms.
